Tales of the J-Crabs

Subtitle: Good to Know that Their Wretched Behavior and Annoying Health Issues Weren't Left on the Luggage Carousel at Midway!

J-Crabs arrived -- last off the plane -- safely. Aunt Patty Cake surveyed various deplaning passengers about the behavior of the unaccompanied minors with no negative reports and probably a lot of "who is this bizarre SWA employee" stares. check.

J-Crabs perform the Macarena in unison in the middle of the greeting area. They'd been trying (okay, successfully) to annoy me at San Diego pre-departure and I encouraged them to save their energy and talent for a more appreciative audience. check.

All luggage arrived, too. check.

The dirty crabs got Tobin's pizza (only my favorite). check.

Jamie protested Aunt Patty Cake's application of hydrocortisone cream in sullen and bratty tones. ahhh, check.

Jamie hurled. With less than perfect target practice. check and check.
Apparently, Jamie drank a Dr. Pepper on the plane, violating the no-carbonated-beverage dictum of the GERD diet. Then he ate at least one-too-many pieces of pizza.

APC called me to apply for Aunt of the Year points, but I was icing a potential wrist fracture (Tim) while dealing with 3+ days of no-poo (Charlie) who probably accurately has a "tummy-ache!" so that was the end of my Saturday.

-------------------------------

This morning, yes, the Kinsellas marched both children to 7:15 Mass.

Jamie had to go pee in the middle of Mass, which is a huge violation of the Thou-Shalt-Remain-in-the-Pew rule. check.

Jack got a headache in the middle of Mass and APC allowed him to sit, missing the Calisthetics Portion of Mass (stand-sit-kneel-repeat). check.

Only Jamie, of weak stomach, was game to pursue Sunday breakfast out. APC got stuck taking Jack home to nap it off. See, even with just two, they cannot march to the same beat of the same drumming plan of the day?! check.

When I spoke to my parents, there was general agreement that the boys are just tired, that Jamie's face doesn't look any worse, and that there appears to be a propensity for booger-picking. check on that last one.

I would like to say that AOTY points apply my enduring the hurl-a-thon with Jamie, but also for missing out on Chocolate Chip pancakes to sit with Jack! I can't believe they didn't even bring me a bagel!
