Tigers vs. Padres. San Diego Imperial Council Boy Scout Night at the Padres. Upper Reserved (read semi-nosebleed) but in the pleasant shade of the 3rd base side of the park. Kouzmanoff "Koozie" give-away.
One of our favorite Friars, Greg Maddux, was the starting pitcher. Fireworks with a Pads home-run, which was rather festive. Stayed exactly half the game, but courtesy of our babysitter situation, did get there early enough to watch part of BP and the very engrossing groundskeeping pre-game. During this time, Jack and I discovered that Jamie has no idea how to take a photograph. I submit the following exhibit as evidence:
Walked over hill n' dale to find the sole purveyor of garlic fries and did pony up for a couple packages of cotton candy for that charming blue-teeth look. Home, showered, and watching the Pads pull ahead in the bottom of the 8th from the comfort of our livingroom with Jamie assisting in the play-by-play.
As for the earlier part of today, Tim was home for the third day of a mini-vacation and did great (again). Charlie's SLP and PT were cancelled by the respective therapists so he got a bit of a reprieve in the morning before buckling down for about 4.5 hours of ABA. Had a sitter mid-day so I was able to go meet with a Psy.D. to discuss when/how Tim can get started on an after-school socialization/community-based program. (Answer: Hopefully, early August). In my recent efforts for Mother-of-the-Year honorable mention, I would note success contacting a potential French horn teacher for Jack -- yes, the principal of the San Diego Symphony gives private lessons at pretty much the going rate ($30/half-hour).
Jack reported some residual post-4-shot pain and suffering...so much so that it impacted his rate of project completion at camp this week. Good thing we knocked that tasking out yesterday afternoon (complete with tears, refusal to enter the injection room, and "owowowowow") because next week is "Mountaineering" Camp with rock-wall climbing daily.
Nonetheless, as featured below, the boys surely got the Sand Crab's quagmire money's worth in wood and hardware.
And by popular demand -- an action photo of the back-scratcher:

Great pictures of the boys! Wow, PETCO was freaking vacant. Poor PADs . . ..
Nice armada, Jack.
L/ Dad Crab
Jamie- LOVE that Cubs shirt!
Charlie- Truly looking 'crabby' about the distance between him and his boats.
Hope Tim can continue a streak of great days and that Jack recovers from those pesky shots.
Petco WAS vacant at 6:15 p.m., esp. since most people watch BP from down low.
Total attendance was 45K.
