Pre 1500 on Sunday, Aug. 24th

Why, yes, Patty Grace, I did deliver in a cabinet store!

How times have changed: TV with CABLE in the labor/delivery "suite". We watched the Olympics in between contractions, multiple IV poke failures, epidural placement, the feeling of someone sitting on my chest when penicillin was sped up, and sniffing alcohol swabs to battle nausea (doesn't that seem a bit low-tech?).

APC and GMK monitoring the various freaking alarms that kept going off. The nursing staff had remote monitoring so they could decide how urgently to respond; I, however, found the noise quite annoying and, er, alarming.

As the hour grew near, the Crab Queen required some hand-holding.

"V" for Victory or "2" for "2 more minutes and no more mrs. nice crab".
