Mass, Brunch & Emelia

We six attended 9 a.m. Mass followed by Grandma MK's famous "let's-have-brunch-at-a-bar" (i.e., Hennessey's Tavern). Sand Crab, unaccustomed to our new Grandma-invoked Sunday morning routine, missed us by telephone.

Tim & Grandma made a Von's run, with Grandma exercising her favorite antic of eliminating items from my list "because". Example from today's list: corn-on-the-cob. Since she is swiping my credit card, this is a most perplexing and unamusing habit. (Since I'm whining, another most annoying habit is to suggest serving the boys week-old or questionably refrigerated leftover meats. Did the raw chicken-eating episode go unnoticed?)

Jack went to the free base movie (Wall-E) and then to the beach with Patty Kiki's family. Jamie's new BFF, Ben, came over again today to entertain the Boy Who Must Avoid the Sun. Yesterday was board games; today appears to be military playset. Tim, besides accompanying GMK to Von's has solicited answers to such scintillating questions as:

Is the Easter Bunny coming in April?
Will we have 5 birthday cakes in April?
Is Easter on a Sunday?
When is Captain M---'s birthday?
What is today's date?
You cannot go swimming because you had a seizure, right, Mommy?
What is for dinner...hamburgers, hot dogs, frozen pizza, or delivery pizza, or Little Caesar's pizza?

Other than honoring the Sabbath and gestating, I did assemble LLGA's stroller/carseat combo (model: Emelia). Not as easy as it appeared but then again, I had Able Assemblyboy Charlie as my assistant. I guess it's better to allow his fascination with baby gear to fade before LLGA's arrival.

Princess Penolope's new carriage is quite the pink explosion with desert cammie undertones. Just the kind of colors one would expect from a daughter of a Beduoin Crab!

Ahhhhh, and having Able Helper Charlie's assistance must have been a treat. Riddle me this: did he place Darth Tater in the carriage and push it down the driveway into oncoming traffic? Loss of most favored child status is imminent. . . . .

Yes, the recent SPIRITUAL REVIVAL is cramping my phone scheme!
