Day 27

Tim did not have school today. Ahhh, how I love a 4-day holiday weekend. Really takes the bounce (or the vigorous blogging buzz) right out of a girl.

Charlie had Physical Therapy followed by in-home "school" services followed by in-home "regional center" services. The middle appointment was chock full o' tantrumming, hollering, and another rendition of "Get Out of My House!" Charming child.

It was cold (high of 56-degrees), rainy, and windy. Riverside County even had funnel clouds sighted yesterday, which is a real rarity.

Parenting Highlight -- perhaps more aptly put: Moment of Stunned Disbelief: Jamie and Jack scurrying around for nearly an hour with an energy-level typically reserved for Forbidden Activities or Really Fun/Preferred Activities (sometimes the same), asking to be assigned chores and then, for the most part, fulfilling my every request. (The words "Backyard Baseball", a computer game, were only uttered in hushed and reverent tones a couple of times). Very strange and somewhat unsettling. Makes you wonder if a hostile coup attempt is right around the corner. Think I'm safe only because I'm still the only option with a driver's license AND access to money.

Going to settle in for a TV baseball game and call it a day.
