A Tribute to Baby's First First Christmas Ornament

Aunt Patty Trish made Mary-Eilis Lucija a beautiful ornament.

Aunt Patty Trish's in-laws swung by en route to a better destination (one with hundreds of tequila choices) to fetch GMK and Grandpa Mike.

Not to miss an opportunity to feature the handmade, needlepoint ornament, I had my camera at the ready to capture the awed and admiring countenances.

Aunt Patty Trish's sister-in-law, Patty Peggy, set a high bar for expressiveness.

Aunt Patty's father-in-law was a great sport...and quite effusive in his reaction to the time required to create this one-of-a-kind gift for a lassie with a one-of-a-kind name.

The Over-Actors' Theatre factor skyrocketed with Grandpa Mike (Aunt Patty's brother-in-law) and Pat Brian (Aunt Patty's husband's brother-in-law), both armed with vino and previously assaulted by multiple flashbulbs.

Grandma Mary Kay (Aunt Patty's own flesh-and-blood sister) having declined the offer of vino -- opting to save all her ETOH credit for TeQUIla(!) -- had a bit more reserved reaction. Then again, it was not her first viewing of the ornament.

Ben (Aunt Patty's nephew-in-law) having enjoyed some vino after more than a half-year without cannot be held entirely accountable for his near-criminal dangling of the M-ELA ornament from his ear. In some parts of the world, this would cost one an ear!! However, he gets partial credit for having M-ELA present for his portrait.
