Update.

Monday evening: Trumpets blare.
We have delivery of the long-awaited cardiac event monitor. It is pretty cool, aside from its raison d'etre. You hold it up to the telephone after calling a toll-free number and interacting only briefly with an actual person and then it "beeps" (a musical-sounding, minute or two fax machine) to convey the data.

Tuesday: Timpani beats.
We take the CR-V in for its 60K maintenance. $500+ clams from the Crabby account.
Of course, when I go in to fetch it (being the same dealership that delivered the Odyssey in such timely and fine form), the paperwork wasn't ready. Then they "forgot" to deduct the $35-off coupon that GMK and I had taken great effort to assure was turned in ahead of time. More waiting. I managed to keep the Crazy Eyes in my noggin ... only barely.

Tuesday night: Another (4th in a row) of unsatisfactory nocturnal existence, courtesy of LLGA. Lots of coughing and gagging. Sigh.

Wednesday morning: Oboe squeaking. (AFter all, in the Castle, we are all about novel new instruments in the claws of novices).

Jamie horsing around on the floor with LLGA and we have our first "event". So I STOP EVERYTHING to call it in. Very ungratifying as the rep was somewhat rude.

Wednesday early afternoon: Take LLGA to her 6-month-well-baby. She's got bulging gums; 2 lower teeth clearly getting ready for their debut.

Head circumference: 18 in.
Length: 27 in.
Weight: 22 lb. 4 oz.

Got all the same shots with mighty kicking and vocal protest, but calmed down immediately. Also received a single-dose flu shot (which doesn't have thimerasol, Combat Crab).

Per the pediatrician, LLGA "looks like a million bucks...and that's what she'll cost you." He also suggested she might earn an academic scholarship to Stanford because he thinks "she looks pretty smart." I, naturally, put in a plug for NU scholarships being equally acceptable.

Wednesday afternoon en route home: GMK informs that Jack is home (minimum day) and reports to feeling "nauseous".

Wednesday afternoon: Jack looks tired and a smidgen under-the-weather. Lovely. Quarantined to his top bunk.

Charlie emerges from therapy and announced "Much tired!" and is nestled on the couch.

And we have another event, as Jamie is not to be forgotten. The rep did tell me that the event did not look particularly alarming. Have repositioned to the back in hopes of avoiding him becoming the "Boy Who Cried Beep".

Photos to be inserted later today.
