Anniversary No. 16 - Highlights

Wake-up call from my folks. 0730. Ben was able to croak, I was still somewhat dozing. Those financially invested in plotting the Big Day still remember.

Today we had a flower-boy! Charlie plucked (breathe, Patty Kiki, breathe) a couple of blooms, unprompted, and stuck 'em behind his ears before running around the yard like a hooligan.

We also enjoyed a baby girl in red/white/blue frock. Our first anniversary with a daughter. Aw.

Charlie had therapy so we attempted an AM Project: Tim's Room.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

The bureaus: you can see the top!

The shelves: you can get to them!

The desk: you can use it!

Bed #3 still here.

Tim beseeched for a Target run all day, so CQ, LLGA, the J-crabs, and the BSD went in the afternoon while Charlie had his second therapy session. Leaving Ben time to slog out a clandestine PM Project: the Livingroom (again).

AFTER:

We received a surprise parcel in the mail from Patty Not-a-Rita:
Only perfect! And made even better (if that is possible) with a clever tale involving an overly-perfumed Russian-ish lady.

"CRABBY SHACK ... We cook 'em - You crack 'em"

Thought the cake photo most apropos. Tonight's version is Tiramisu accompanying the Mama Mia take-out. However clever we were to ensure fireworks, we were less-than-crafty when considering the likelihood of booking childcare!

This evening, a computer card typed hastily by the J-crabs (after my mention of the absence of any crablet cards over a dinner of Wendy's -- with Frosties, thanks to Pa Crab) appeared courtesy of Jack's flash drive upon my desktop screen:

Dear Mom and Dad,
Happy 16th anniversery of marriage. Just think 16 years of yous guys being married. We appriciate you for being good parents. Thank you for being our parents. Thank you. Hope you find your wedding ring.

Love,
Jack, Tim, Charlie and Jamie

While they clearly avoided the spellcheck function, they did throw in a wedding band reference. Not sure why LLGA was omitted.

And this just in from Patty SW, which pretty much seals the day as a bona fide Holiday:

My work here in blogville may be done. (Or not because I do somewhat enjoy solipsistic nattering). :-)

Here we are, "celebrating" --

To Wedded Wedded!
