Wishing Patty Kiki's Family Fair Winds and Orderly Passengers

back: Jack, Luke, Sam, Gabe, Jamie, Joseph
and front: Kai and Daniel

As a parting gift to the cul-de-sac, the Melin boys presented fabuloso mini-marshmallow shooters to all the boys...fortunately, Patty Jenny-Across-the-Street and hubby Pat Ken figured out that cornstarch (prodigious quantities) tossed over mini-marshmallows minimizes the misfire/equipment malfunction. It's good to live in military housing, ain't it? (Unless your kids aren't in the gang in which case I'm guessing mini-marshmallows on your roof, in your bushes, on your driveway, and along your sidewalk may wear a little thin...or sticky!)

Departure day was high noon. Well, more like high-one o' clock, because even Captain M---n, Patty Kiki's hubby felt his driving would benefit by some cake before leaving.

Saying farewell to the "Tim-Whisperer"

Boo-hoo. Jack, ever aiming for idiot-like humor (and a bit distressed by his mom's postpartum-enhanced tear-fest), chased the silver van down Chalcedony.

The Captain and Joe absorb some last San Diego lawn.

I, for one, think those geniuses at Nintendo deserve a Nobel Peace Prize because those, to quote a Patty: "devil's instruments" (aka, Nintendo DS), will buy them vast expanses of peace and quiet.
